Another Ceed Lotos Cup competition has past behind.
Starting in Kager’s colours Kamil Raczkowski has once again confirmed on the track in Poznań that he is one of the main candidate to win this year’s Lotos Cup edition. The competition itself was not a piece of cake for the contestant from Kielce the more the whole team together with the driver were content with this success.
The test drives and qualification born out the strength disposition which was brought out from the first Hungarian round. Leading Kager Motorsport contestant, and right behind him were his most serious competitors that is Andrzej Gasenko and Łukasz Błaszkowski. Behind the leading trio the competition was in a traditional equal set, from which Maciej Ostoja Chyżyński „”the forth musketeer” is more often tearing off.
The best qualification time was also a new record of this kind of round in Kia Ceed giving the first starting position was the final result of Kamil’s Saturday’s performance. It was making all very optimistic before the Sunday part of the race, but still keeping in mind that the track in Poznań was always full of surprises for Kager’s contestant. That was the case during all last year’s rounds taking place on the mentioned track. Due to various obstacles Kamil was forced to climb up to his highest skill possibilities to catch up with the rivals.
For the sake of the tradition Kamil as usual has sacrificed the first round to catch up with the leading forth. All started according to plan: beginning from the leading position Raczkowski took the first place feeling Łukasz’s Błaszkowski breath on his back. This sequence held only to the „ Satan’s Smile” that is the first left turn on the track in Poznań. The rival hit at the back of Kamil’s car caused him fall out of the track. However our contestant managed to come back on track but by the time he got out of the sticky side he already fell to a far back position. Then the traditional Poznań’s race began. Kamil drove on the edge of both the car’s and the track’s possibilities but successfully passing the competition. At that time Andrzej Gasenko switched with Łukasz Błaszkowski on the lead who was punished for the incident with Kamil’s car with „stop&go” that irreversibly made him not count in the race. Srebrno the green express drove to the second position. Andrzej Gasenko fell too far in front to consider entering into a rivalry. So at the finish line Andrzej Gasenko before Kamil Raczkowski. Maciej Ostoja Chyżyński came third.
The second race Kager’s Motorsport contestant began from the second position. He followed the leading driver Andrzej Gasenko as a shadow, waiting impatiently for the opportunity to attack. The rain brought the chance to carry out the plan, which sneaking in the dark cloud above the track eventually fell half way the second race. Pressed by Kamil, Gasenko made a mistake by entering the bend to fast. Raczkowski immediately took advantage and overruled Gasenko, even though Gasenko drove very fast he could not retake the leaders position until the end, it made Raczkowski win for the third time this season. The podium was completed by Maciej Ostoja Chyżyński.
After emotions from the track, came the time for a spontaneous joy on the podium together with champagne bath, followed by a Press conference. Kager’s contestant summing up the race in Poznań said: I am really very happy although the first start didn’t go according to my expectations. Łukasz Błaszkowski treat me with a strong hit which made me lose several positions. But as usual in Poznań I cannot reach the podium other than coming out of some far away distance. Oh well it came out all good I was second during the first race and the leader of the second. Andrzej made a mistake, I took him over and that was really the end of the race.
After four rounds of Ceed Lotos Cup Kager’s contestant is the score leader. Andrzej Gasenko loses 15 points to the leader, and the third Maciej Ostoja Chyzyński already 29 points. The oncoming round with Raczkowski within three weeks on the track in Hockenheim.
